Since 1881, our family manufacturing roots have driven continuous innovation. Evolving in 1957 into an industrial protection and packaging pioneer, Tapex Group now channels three generations of expertise into market-leading brands across civil safety and commercial cultivation.
We acquire, build, and grow industrial businesses across multiple sectors. Not to flip them. To keep them, invest in them, and make them better.
Every business in the group was chosen for the long term. We back strong operators, reinvest in capability, and give each company the resources and independence to grow on its own terms.
We don't buy businesses to strip them back. We buy them because we see what they can become with the right support and time.

OUR JOURNEY
Four generations of growth.
Today
Five operating companies across four industries and three countries. Still family-owned. Still building.
2023
Acquires Elite Tunnels in the UK and Redpath Greenhouses in Australia, expanding the group's reach across three countries.
2002
Acquires Kinnears assets, one of Australia's oldest rope, twine, and cordage companies.
1980
Develops the first plastic barricade fencing for worksites and the first underground detectable warning tape to protect telecommunications cables.
1962
Tapex becomes the first company in the Southern Hemisphere to extrude polypropylene.
1957
Theo Rossi founds Tapex and manufactures the world's first synthetic flat strapping from their facility in Waterloo, Sydney.
We're expanding into renewable agriculture and sustainable industrial products. Earthtwine's biodegradable twines are already replacing conventional plastics across New Zealand and Australian growing operations.
The 2023 acquisition of Elite Tunnels brought the group into the UK market. We continue to look for well-run businesses in regions where our sector knowledge gives us an edge.
We reinvest in the businesses we own. New manufacturing capability, stronger distribution networks, and the people to run them. That's how we build lasting value.
We pursue efficiency, precision and continuous improvement in everything we do. Every process is an opportunity to deliver more value to our partners and clients.
The Rossi family has run this business for four generations with a consistent belief: if the community around you is doing well, your business will too. That principle still drives how we operate today.

The Shepherd Centre
Tapex Group is a proud supporter of The Shepherd Centre, a not-for-profit helping children with hearing loss develop spoken language and listening skills. Founded in 1970, The Shepherd Centre now supports over 900 families across Australia, with more than 90% of graduates achieving the same spoken language levels as their hearing peers by school age.
So They Can
Tapex Group partners with So They Can, an Australian-founded charity working to give children in East Africa access to quality education. Through direct partnerships with government schools in Kenya and Tanzania, So They Can currently reaches over 55,000 children across 55 schools.
Three generations of my family have put their name on these products. That isn't heritage for its own sake. It's why a grower or a contractor can trust that what we sell will still be standing years from now.
— Philip Rossi, Director, Tapex Group
